Miriam "Helen" Dutton

Entered into rest on Friday, December 6, 2024, Mrs. Miriam “Helen” Dutton, 71, loving wife of the late Wilborn Dutton. 

Helen was a member of Hephzibah Unity Fellowship and worked as a Wal-Mart associate for over a decade. She loved gardening her flowers, trips to the beach, and was an avid reader. Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew her. 

Family members include her children: Tanya Sturgill (Terry), Tammy Reese (Jeff), Jamie Dutton, and James “Nathan” Dutton (Sarah); grandchildren: Tyler Sturgill, Lauryn Ivie Sturgill, Levi Sturgill, Taylor Reese, Kimberly “Nikki” Crutchfield (David), Nolan McGinn, Luke Dutton, and Matthew Dutton; 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Michael Porter, Billy Porter, Donald Porter, and Timmy Porter; and sisters: Martha Whitaker and Alice Nethken. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Elmore and Hazel Porter. 

 A graveside service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in Hephzibah Vance Cemetery with Pastor Drew Fulmer officiating.
