Mitchell "Mitch" Wayne Parrish

Entered into rest on Friday, April 3, 2026, Mr. Mitchell Wayne Parrish, 75, loving husband of 35 years to Linda Marie Parrish.

Mitch was a member of Abilene Baptist Church. He served 4 years in the United States Navy as an aviation ordinance man from February 1970 until February 1974. He retired after 25 years with Southern Natural Gas. Mitch was an avid camper and truly enjoyed spending time on the road with the love of his life, Linda and their “fur babies”, Scooter and the late Tater.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Dana Kaye Dailey and Crissy Ann Parrish; stepsons: Raymond Edward Carnes (Beth) and Larry “David” Carnes (Dana); grandchildren: Brittany Leigh Hill, Lila Marie Phurrough, Liam Alan Phurrough, and Colden Carnes; sister: Wanda Moore (Ed); four great grandchildren, one nephew, two nieces, and ten great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bernice Parrish, and grandson, Tristin Daniel Hill.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with his best friend and neighbor, Rev. Brandon Lanier, officiating.
