Mrs. Nita Amerson

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, March 14, 2009, Mrs. Nita Dasher Amerson, age 74, wife of Mr. G.W. “Bud” Amerson.

Mrs. Amerson was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and former member of Curtis Baptist Church. She retired after 36 years from Sig Cox Heating and Air. She was a Past President of the Women’s Board at University Hospital, a member of the Board of directors at University Hospital Foundation, a member of the Spade and Trowel Garden Club and the Friendship Bible Class at First Baptist Church of Augusta.

Family members in addition to her husband include daughter: Lisa Amerson of Augusta; sister: Holly Ann Olliff of Swainsboro; nephews: Daniel Dasher and Curtis Olliff; sister-in-law: Mary Pitzer of Martinez.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Rodger Murchison and Rev. Alan Faulkner officiating. Pallbearers will be Don Cheeks, Gene Cronic, Roy Scarborough, George Perkins, Alfred Evans, Kelvin Evens, Jack Herndon, and Ralph Veal. Honorary Escorts will be the Friendship Bible Class of First Baptist Church.

Internment will be at Westover Memorial Park.
