Nell Tankersley Hoover

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, June 23, 2025, Mrs. Nell Tankersley Hoover, 97, wife of the late John Cameron Hoover.

Nell was raised in Appling, Georgia as the youngest of five children. Nell enjoyed working in her flower garden, and crocheting blankets for her children and grandchildren. Nell and her family were founding members of National Hills Baptist Church. She was active in the women’s groups and touring with the seniors. Nell enjoyed decorating her home, completing many paint and wallpaper projects. Most of all Nell enjoyed spending time with her family and watching it grow.

Survivors include her son: Steve C. Hoover (Karen); four grandchildren Seth, Cable (Marisa), Connor (Brooke) and Colin (Montana); and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: John Cameron Hoover and her daughter: Sharon Hoover Dukes.

The graveside service will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Don Prosser officiating.
