Nell King

Entered into rest on Sunday, March 17, 2024, Nellie Padgett King, 89.

Nell was born in Bamberg, South Carolina. She worked in customer service for over 20 years at J.B. White’s. Nell enjoyed playing softball as a pitcher, for J.B. White’s team and earned most valuable player. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC. After working at J. B. White’s she was a homemaker for many years. Nell loved Elvis, dancing, animals and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Family members include her daughters: Dinah Wilson (Walt) and Gink King and her best friend Anita Barnes; son: Phillip King; grandchildren: McKenzie Cato (Bryce) and Pressley Wilson, McAuliffe and Darrell King. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Willie Bodiford and Jeanette Layman.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Methodist Church with Rev. Thurman Norville officiating.
