Patrick Smith

Patrick G. Smith died on April 24, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty R. Smith.

Additional survivors are children Patrick, Jr, Lynn Peacock (Mark), and Laura Gurney (Rick). Grandchildren Kathryn Edmonds (Ty), Mark Peacock (Katherine), Ellen Peacock, Melissa Cassell (Andrew), Preston Lariscy, Chip Fulmer (Kim), and Brittney Fulmer (Blake Matthews). Great- grandchildren Champ Edmonds, Hadley Kate Edmonds, Lindley Jane Peacock, Ben Cassell, Cal Cassell, Lauren Cassell, Jackson Fulmer, and Gracie Fulmer. He was predeceased by daughter Leanne Lariscy, grandson Ryan Lariscy and daughter-in-law Nan Smith.

Pat was born December 29, 1930 in Macon, GA. He lived his early childhood in Claxton, GA until the family moved to Augusta in March 1941. He graduated from Richmond Academy in 1947, Georgia Tech in 1951, then spent three years in the army, most of it in Germany. He was employed by Georgia Iron Works / GIW Industries until retirement in 1992. 

Pat was a member of First Baptist Church where an interment service for the family was held on April 26 in the Memorial Garden.
