Paul peacefully passed on May 23, 2025, at his home in Evans, Georgia surrounded by family.
Paul proudly served in the US Air Force from May 1958 through February 1967. After he left the military, he worked in Thailand for a few years. He continued his work in communications working for Michigan Bell until 1991. Afterwards he worked part time with the Local Library Network.
Paul played bass trombone in Michigan with the Community Band & Concert band, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, and with the Community band, Swing band & BuddyK Big Band. Some of his other diverse interests also include being an avid reader, watching wartime movies and learning about several historical events. Paul’s kindness and love for big bands, NASCAR, & breakfast with friends will never be forgotten.
Family members include his wife: Alice Hartman-Nau; children: James, Janet and John; stepchildren Dawn, Jim and Michelle; 4 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded by his parents: Paul E., Jean Nau; and son: Jeff Nau.
He will be laid to rest in the Memorial Garden at Riverview Church in Evans, GA.
