Paula Kaye Henson

Paula K. Henson, loving wife of Scott Henson, passed away peacefully April 15, 2026, at her Augusta, Georgia home surrounded by family and friends. Paula retired from Reese Library at Augusta State University. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and work in her rose garden and make the inside of her home beautiful.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Georgia Hospice Care for their kindness, support and care, most especially to Jacki Lee Rodgers, Nurse, and Jack Foley, Chaplain. The family also would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to Hilary Sanders and others who provided comfort and wonderful care to Paula.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggest that donations be made to the Scott & Paula Henson Scholarship at East Tennessee State University in memory of Paula, and for the benefit of students. Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00am until the service.
