Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, January 3, 2026, Mrs. Phoebe Millett Dinkins, 76, loving wife of the late Louis C. Dinkins.
Phoebe was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Kenneth William Millett and Katherine Vogelin Millett. She grew up in Aiken which is where she found her love of horses. As adults they loved traveling to Kentucky to horse races and exploring looking at the horse barns. She had many cats in her life and in her later years enjoyed the company of her babies. Phoebe had a passion for pro football, Bruno Mars music and laughing.
She retired after 30 years as a respiratory therapist at St. Joseph Hospital. She was a member of Trinity on the Hill and appreciated their TV and card ministry.
Family members include her stepsons: Andy Dinkins (Trella) and Mark Dinkins; stepdaughter: Laura Dinkins; step-grandsons: Anthony and Taylor Wiggins; brother: Bill Millett (Ramey); niece: Kerri Bradley (Rod); nephew: Ken Millett (Sherri); and great nieces: Kaylan Borgen (Nick) and Kelsey Bradley.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Roy McVeigh officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bill Millett, Ken Millett, Rod Bradley, Andy Dinkins, Andy Avera, and Chris Lewis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the CSRA Humane Society, 425 Wood St., Augusta, GA 30904.
