Augusta, GA – Raymond “Ray” F. Bourne passed away Sunday March 15th, 2026 in the arms of his loving wife to rest in the arms of his creator. Ray was a devoted family man, and he never met a stranger who he could not bring a smile to their face. He came from simple roots in the Viginia mountains where he learned a solid work ethic from his parents and family and used that ethic for the rest of his life. At an early age he rode on rodeo circuit where he became very proficient in bull riding and saddle bronc riding a sport excited him for the rest of his life. He and his beloved wife made the venture in owning Toyota Dealerships through the years and were recognized for numerous achievements over the years until their retirement. One of his greatest passions outside of family has been golf and he enjoyed playing at clubs and on courses all over the world.
Ray, besides being a devout family man, was also a devout Christian and active parishioner at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter where he volunteered anytime there was a need. He was a very charitable man and never forgot where he came from. He had a sense of humor that could easily catch you off guard to the extent that you were not sure if he was serios or not. He leaves a legacy with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that will both honor his life and his passion of love for life and his fellowman.
He is survived by his wife “Honey” Maurica M. Bourne, children, Robert L. Bourne, Dr. Gregory A. Francisco (Lauren), Stephen M. Francisco (Kim), Michelle L. Francisco (Stephen T. Hood), Siblings, Ruth Bourne Childress, Mary Bourne Lawrence, Danny Bourne (Debbie), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
