Reginald "Reggie" Lee Reynolds

Buckhead, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Reginald “Reggie” Lee Reynolds, 80, loving husband of Catherine Phillips Reynolds.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, Reggie attended Butler High School and graduated in 1963. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army infantry during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he began a career in the food snack industry. Reggie was a sales manager with Dolly Madison/Interstate Brands, Frito-Lay, Tom’s Foods, and finally owning his own company known as Reynolds Bread. Forced into early retirement in 1998 due to the effects of Agent Orange and a brain tumor, he courageously fought the deteriorating effects for an amazing 27 years, serving his country when called and never complaining of what was required or the resulting health issues. He passed away at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center.

Reggie was active in karate, physical fitness, dirt bike racing, fishing, boating, and loved any outdoor activity. He collected classic cars, favoring MOPAR. He and Catherine enjoyed taking vacations and attending car shows. He hosted countless July 4th barbeques as long as his health permitted. If a true friend, you were a friend forever, no matter the distance and time.

Family members include his wife: Catherine Phillips Reynolds; brother: James E. Reynolds, Jr. (Jo); and numerous nieces, nephews, and special cousins.

He was preceded in death by his sisters: Helen Stone (John) and Janice Mobley (Melvin); and niece: Suzanne Stone.

Special thanks to his caregivers, Mary and Shirley, and his nurse Kim who took excellent care of him, bringing a smile to his face and lively conversation. Special thanks also goes to the nurses and doctors at CNVAMC Critical Care Unit.

The graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fisher House Foundation, One Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
