Robin Melissa Ott

Robin Melissa Ott was born August 29, 1956 in Magnolia, Mississippi and passed away peacefully surrounded by family to join her Savior on June 5, 2026.

She was the oldest child of Frank and Bobbie Jo Ott of Oskya, MS. In 1966 her family moved to Duluth, GA and eventually settled in Doraville, GA, an Atlanta suburb. She graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1974. After high school she attended DeKalb Community College briefly before working as a medical assistant in the Atlanta area.

In 1983 she married Mark Wood and the following year she gave birth to her pride and joy, her son Christopher McLean Wood.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff and residents of Twin View Health and Rehab of Twin City, GA, the MICU staff at Wellstar/MGC Health Center Augusta, GA and Regency Southern Care Hospice Services. The staff at Twin View Health and Rehab provided great care during her time there. The MICU staff at Wellstar/MCG Health Center and Regency Southern Care Hospice Services were compassionate and professional in the care they provided in her final days.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents and brother Lt Col Frank Lamar Ott, II. She is survived by her son Christopher McLean Wood, wife Hillary, grandsons Elliott and Henry of Springfield, VA and brother Maj Karl E. Ott of Shalimar, FL.

Memorial services will be private and held at a future date.
