Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Librarian

Sandra Lee Allison 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 20th 2025 in Martinez, Georgia surrounded by her loving family. 

A longtime member of Martinez Methodist Church, Mrs. Allison lived a life of service while raising two boys and traveling around the world as a military spouse. She grew up traveling the world with her family as her father served in the US Army. She devoted her life to helping others while raising her two boys and living overseas as a military spouse. She grew up in Japan and France and graduated from high school in Virginia. When her father was stationed at Fort Gordon she met the love of her life, Robert Green, the boy next door. She loved animals, especially horses and trained them for Jimmy Grey in Evans. Following her husband all over the world while he served in the US Navy, they lived in California, Hawaii, Florida, Spain, Japan and Maryland retiring to Camak, Ga. 

She became the Librarian for Warren County as she was passionate about books and history and loved helping families look up their genealogies. After Robert died she met Walter Allison years later and they got married. They enjoyed traveling up and down the East coast as part of three different RV camping clubs. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and pets, traveling, camping, gardening, singing in her church choir, painting and card games in retirement.

 Mrs. Allison is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Troy Green and Amy Green; son and daughter-in-law, Chris Green and Jennifer Green; her two grandchildren, Ryan Green and Erin Green and her brother John Platson and her sister Pamela Floyd. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Platson, mother Dorothy Platson, by her late husbands, Walter Allison and Robert Green; brother: Robert Platson 

The celebration of life service will be held on July 19th 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Martinez Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Columbia County Animal Service at 1940 William Few Pkwy, Grovetown Ga. 

A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who were a part of Sandra's transition from this life to her new life in heaven.
