Sandra Durand

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, January 3, 2025, Mrs. Sandra Warren Durand, 82, wife of Charles V. Durand, Jr.

 Mrs. Durand was a lifelong resident of Augusta and attended Tubman School and was a 1960 graduate of The Academy of Richmond County. She worked at the Law Office of Nixon, Yow, Waller, and Capers for over 39 years. She was a longtime member of Curtis Baptist Church. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her sons: Tracy Durand (Michelle) and Bert Durand (Melissa); grandchildren: Brooke Mailey (Andy), Heath Durand, Tanner Durand (Bri), Emily Durand, and Thomas Durand; and great grandchildren: Ellie Mailey, Beckett Durand, and Livvy Durand. 

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Charles Broome officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.

 The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
