Sharlene Bock Vlahos

Augusta, GA – Sharlene Bock Vlahos, 70, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

Sharlene devoted her life to caring for others, both through her career as a nurse and in the loving way she raised her two children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her family was the center of her life.

She was known for her warm and engaging personality and her ability to connect with others. Sharlene never met a stranger and had a gift for conversation, often filling a room with her voice and laughter. She found joy in simple moments, whether sharing stories, spending time with her family, or enjoying everyday routines.

To her children, she was a constant source of support and comfort—a steady presence through life’s challenges and celebrations alike. She listened with compassion and loved deeply, always striving to do her best for those she cared about.

Sharlene took great pride in her family. Her home was filled with photographs and mementos of her children and grandchildren, and she delighted in sharing their accomplishments and stories with others. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and found great joy in watching them grow.

She was also a devoted dog lover, and her family finds comfort in the thought that she has been reunited with her beloved Pomeranian, Teddy.

She is survived by her children, Kelly Schell (Walt) and Duke Gibbons (Jenny); her grandchildren, Rowan, Asher, Mac, Bennett, Jake, Cady, and Callie; her siblings, Kathy Bock and Jim Bock; her nieces Kristen McMullen and April Bock; her nephews Alex Deily and Greg Bock; and her uncle Bill Kreiger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Shirley Bock, and her sister, Janice Bock.

In accordance with her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
