Shelby Lovett Blair

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Shelby Lovett Blair, 88, loving wife of the late Norris Eugene (Sonny) Blair.

A native of Sylvania, Georgia, Mrs. Blair spent most of her adult life in Augusta. She retired from the Medical College of Georgia Dental School where she worked for the college’s Business Dean, Ray Lackman. Most of all, Mrs. Blair was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing her.

Family members include her sons: Christopher E. Blair (Betsy), J. Scott Blair (Karla) and Alex Blair (Kathy); 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband: Norris Eugene Blair; and her parents: Roy and Grace Lovett.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Chaplain Wade Sosebee officiating.
