Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Teresita Navasca Evangelista, 78, loving wife of Francisco Evangelista.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Chapel on Fort Gordon with Father Tomy Raphael as the celebrant.
With deep love and gratitude for her life, we celebrate the homegoing of a woman whose spirit touched everyone she met. She was a gentle soul—spiritual at her core, guided by faith and strengthened by her devotion to reading the Bible. Her relationship with God shaped the way she moved through the world: with kindness, humility, and a heart always ready to serve.
A true foodie and gifted cook, she found joy in preparing meals that brought people together. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and connection, where she expressed her love through every dish she made. Cooking wasn’t just a hobby for her—it was a ministry of warmth and nourishment.
She had a natural gift for helping others, always willing to lend a hand, offer a listening ear, or make space for someone who needed support. Her accommodating nature made people feel seen, valued, and welcomed. She lived out compassion in the simplest, most meaningful ways.
Family and friends were the heartbeat of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them—sharing stories, meals, prayers, and memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her presence made gatherings brighter, and her absence will be deeply felt.
She also found peace and joy in nature, often taking time to appreciate the beauty of God’s creation. Whether it was a quiet walk, a gentle breeze, or the sound of birds at dawn, she embraced the world with gratitude and wonder.
Her life was a testament to love, faith, and service. Though she has departed from this earthly home, her legacy remains in the countless lives she touched. We honor her today and always.
In addition to her husband, family members include her daughter: Sandra Navasca Evangelista; son: Marvin Navasca Evangelista; and sister: Mariet Cruz. She was preceded in death by her parents: Theodorico and Marta Navasca.
