Thelma Hair James

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Thelma Hair James, 84, wife of the late Thomas Franklin James.

Thelmas was a native of Augusta, Georgia. She was a member of Mize Memorial Methodist Church. Thelma was a loving and devoted wife, mother and Nanny. Her passion was taking care of her family foremost and many other children of friends over the years.

Family members include her sister: Louie Dean Shaw; daughters: Thelma Annette Duffield and Melba Yvonne Angle; and grandchildren: Leah Skinner (Eric), Lillian Angle and Zachary Angle. 

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. George James officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
