Thomas Bond Calloway, 90, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Evans, Georgia. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Thomas served as a U.S. Army First Lieutenant and later worked for DuPont in chemical sales until his retirement at age 58.
He is survived by his children: daughter Lynn Calloway Ray (spouse Steven Russell Ray) of Porterville, California; son Thomas Bond Calloway, Jr. (spouse Karin Gage Calloway) of Evans, Georgia. Grandchildren: grandson Thomas Bond Calloway III (spouse Rachel Byrd Calloway) of Evans, Georgia; granddaughter Carolyn Gage Calloway of Athens, Georgia; Jeremy David Ray (spouse Hannah Lee McKervey Ray) of Porterville California; granddaughter Christina Joy Ray of Porterville, California. Great-grandchildren: Emma Adele Calloway and Thomas Bond Calloway IV of Evans, Georgia.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father Arthur Bond Calloway, mother Ethel Antoinette Calloway Bull, and wife Carol Hannah Calloway. He graduated from Gillman High School in Baltimore, Maryland, and went on to graduate from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, with a degree in chemistry.
The family will hold a private ceremony to honor Thomas's life at Wesley United Methodist Church.
