Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, February 16, 2024, Mrs. Tobey S. Manton, 81, wife of John (“Jack”) P. Manton, Jr. Tobey grew up in Key West, Florida, and resided in Martinez. Tobey spent most of her adulthood in Northern Virginia, where she was involved in several ventures, from the hotel industry to being one of the top residential real estate agents for Long & Foster. Tobey loved to travel the world, but her favorite place was on a boat, fishing. However, spending time with her family was her greatest love.
Besides her husband, Jack, Tobey is survived by her two children, Kristin Plym (Jack), John P. Manton III (Denise) and grandchildren, Charlie Plym, Olivia Plym, John Manton IV, and Milly Manton. She is predeceased by her parents, Edward Lionel Stickney and Marguerite Stickney.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Southeast Hospice Organization and a special thank you to Victoria, Sandi, Brooke, Courtney and all the other help. The family would also like to extend their thanks to Mary Day and Laurie Smith who gave her special attention.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to Via Cognitive Health in Augusta.
