Nathan E. Duffie

Augusta, GA – Nathan Eugene Duffie, 43, entered into rest Friday, November 3, 2023.

Nathan was a lifelong resident of Augusta and graduated from Augusta Christian in 1999 where he was a state champion and 3 sport athlete but football is what captured his heart. He attended both Newberry College where he was a member of the TKE fraternity and Maranatha Bible College in Watertown, WI where he earned his way into being the starting quarterback.

After college, he chose to take up coaching at Curtis Baptist School where he touched thousands of lives in the classroom and on the field. He was even named the 2013 GISA Coach of the Year when he led Curtis to the State Championship Game. 

Nathan also was an avid Atlanta Braves, Alabama football, and Nashville Predators fan. Little known fact is he enjoyed music and was a talented, self-taught artist.

He leaves behind his parents: Wanda and Gene Duffie; his beloved Companion (fur baby): Joe; and numerous extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
