Ronald Melvin Duvall

Mr. Ronald "Ron" M. Duvall went to his heavenly home on Friday November 3, 2023, surrounded by his family. 

Ron was born and raised in St. Joseph, MO, then joined the United States Marine Corp where he served 2 tours in Vietnam. After his service, he attended Missouri Western State University and received a degree in Biology and Chemistry.  He married Sue Davis on November 25, 1972, then moved to Wisconsin, South Carolina, then they finally settled in Martinez/Grovetown, GA where they raised a family and were active members of Warren Baptist Church, where Ron spent many years teaching and helping others. He retired from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000 and spent his retirement years with his loving wife Sue, his children, grandchildren, and rescue dogs.  He was an avid history buff and loved the GA Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Chiefs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ella Duvall, his brother Travis Duvall, and his sister Dixie Todd.  He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sue Duvall; his children Jennifer Duvall Prescott, William Duvall, Michael (Kristen) Duvall; his grandchildren Cole Morris, Travis Duvall, Hudson Prescott, Brayden Duvall, George Duvall, Mason Duvall, Kaley Duvall and Hunter Duvall.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
